EASY TO USE
Working with the Codamotion System doesn�t require an engineering degree. The system has been designed from the start with clinical movement analysis applications in mind, and this remains a primary use of the system. Intended for clinicians who may need to gather many movement trials each week, the system is pre-calibrated, the hardware is highly portable and quick to set up in the field. Furthermore, the active markers are always intrinsically identified and can never be confused or swapped by complex trajectories, no matter how many markers are used or how close they are to each other. No precious time will be lost in post-processing.
HIGH RESOLUTION AND ACCURATE RESULTS
The strength of the Codamotion system is great ease of use combined with a very high-performance, high-resolution technology (0.05mm resolution over several metrers). Marker location information is recorded at very precise time intervals with a 42 microsecond sample time. Moreover, an active marker is so thin that it lies flat against the skin to minimise artefacts. No wires cross joints or impede the movement, and there is no tether to the subject.
INTEGRATED DEVICES
In addition to highly accurate real-time movement information, you can also capture and see synchronized data streams from other measurement devices, simultaneously. A large variety of peripheral devices can be connected, including force plates, EMG (Electromyography) systems, and video streams.
AUTOMATED PROCESSING
No post-processing of data is needed. The Clinical Gait Package carries out full 3-D segmental analysis with calculated data available immediately after the patient has reached the end of the walkway. This avoids the potentially onerous task of identifying marker trajectories by hand.
A complete Gait analysis reporting package is available. There are automated tools to assist in setting movement cycles (e.g. initial contact/ toe-off); and producing printed reports of kinematics, kinetics, and EMG signals.
