Members of the Codamotion team (Maureen Parker and Lisa Frattaroli) recently took part in a sponsored 120ft abseil off Chesterfield College to raise funds for people affected by stroke. The team of two managed to raise over £500 for The Stroke Association.
“The Stroke Association is the only UK wide charity solely concerned with combating stroke in people of all ages. It funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation, and helps stroke patients and their families directly through its Rehabilitation and Support Services. These include Communication Support, Family and Carer Support, information services and welfare grants. We also campaign, educate and inform to increase knowledge of stroke at all levels of society, and we act as a voice for everyone affected by stroke”. – The Stroke Association
The day’s event on the 8th March 2008 was organised by The Stroke Association and saw over one hundred and fifty abseilers take part in this frightening challenge.
Our Codamotion abseilers Maureen and Lisa would like to say a big thank you to all of their sponsors, and to The Stroke Association’s organisers and helpers who made the whole fundraising experience fantastic.
