FLEXIBILITY
The system has been designed for researchers who need maximum productivity and efficiency from their measurement System. The system is pre-calibrated and the hardware is highly portable and quick to set up in the field. Thanks to the design of each unit, full 3D can be measured from a single unit, which is ideal for postural measurements, unilateral gait analysis, or bilateral treadmill analysis.
EASE OF USE
Active markers are always intrinsically identified and can never be confused or swapped, no matter how many markers are used or how close they are to each other, or how complex the movements. Markers are so thin, and light-weight that they are barely perceived by the subject and will not interfere with their actions.No time is lost on complicated pre- and post- operations or in learning how to use the system. This frees the researcher from data processing tasks, allowing them to concentrate fully on the research itself.
ROCK SOLID REAL-TIME
The Codamotion system gives real-time 3D data with latency of as low as 2 milliseconds. This makes it ideal for real-time control or interaction in Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality applications.
Markers are identified intrinsically in the hardware. This allows solid, robust interaction in real-time. No software processing is required to identify markers � it is fully automatic and error-free.
A Codamotion software development kit allows easy integration with other VR devices, and the Codamotion customer support team are always on hand to assist.
HIGHLY ACCURATE
The Codamotion System has evolved to have maximum ease of use and portability, whilst maintaining high accuracy and resolution. As an active marker moves the resulting correlation peak of each sensor determines the marker position with very high resolution (0.05mm in approx 5m). The sampling period for each marker is 42 microseconds, so data is frozen precisely at an instant in time. Active markers have the practical advantage of being very thin so that they lie flat against the skin of the subject with minimal offset.
INTEGRATION WITH FORCE, EMG AND VIDEO
In addition to highly accurate and real time movement information, synchronised data streams from a wide variety of peripheral devices can be connected, including force plates, EMG (Electromyography) systems and reference digital videos. This means that fully integrated data acquisition can be accomplished with a single click.
