Codamotion - Visual3D Partnership

The Coda Motion Analysis software provides a truly flexible solution for movement data capture. The software processes the data from the cx1 motion capture system and provides real-time feedback of selected movement activities. Synchronized analog data (EMG, force plates, etc.) is also supported. The Coda Motion Analysis software provides numerous features such as graphs and stick figure displays, real-time displays to verify marker location, fully labelled data appears immediately after acquisition from our active marker system and the list goes on…………….

But if that’s not enough flexibility we have been working closely with C Motion to provide a Coda Motion Files Plug-in for Visual3D (Offline use).This plug-in allows movement analysis data to be brought into C-motion Visual3D using several common data file formats Coda Motion Move, Coda Motion MDF (and MDR), Coda Motion ASCII text, and C3D.  Once the files are imported, they will also be saved in c3d format on the computer. The names of markers come from the setup which was used in the Coda Motion Analysis software at the time when the file was last saved. Force data from manufacturers such as Kistler, AMTI and Bertec and other analog devices take their names from the setup which was used in the Coda Motion Analysis software.

Visual3D's advanced modeling capabilities support a full 6 degree of freedom segmented analysis. Visual3D lets you find functional joint centers in real-time and supports digitizing pointers to create virtual markers to increase the accuracy and speed of model building.

Shortly we will be releasing the Codamotion Real -Time Plug - in for Visual3D.  When used in connection with Visual3D this means that EMG/force data can be acquired alongside marker data, cluster calculations performed, all within the same package and in real time.
